earth notes beckons again… presenting alt / indie rock outfit CLUB VALLEY live at
Sophiatown Arts Akademy on saturday, Sept. 7th, 2024.

settle in for an afternoon of heady, jozi-tinted music - oozing from the tight-knit duo of
nigel sibanda (guitar + vocals) and jason williams (drums).
trudging through all that’s flung their way in this god-damned city, and coming out the
other side with a catalog of songs filled with waning + waxing hazes of fuzzy guitars, sparse
drums and sung-out poems about the mundanity of every day, love, triumph and everything
in between.

this show is free + open to the public, and we’ve set some R45 - R150 sliding scale tickets
to keep things accessible and covering costs - if it’s within your means (it’ll go a long way).

also… we may (or may not) have:
- a merch table (hmm.. new EN tees, old Lilies garms, pre-loved books + vinyls?)
- a table of homemade kombucha + sodas, teas, coffee + snacks [sorry, we aren't serving
any alcohol - but you’re welcome to bring your own.

- lots of pencils, chalk, pastels, paper and wall-space to draw with/on. selected pieces will
be included in our upcoming Earth Notes zine + disc release.
